CORE Clubs

Core clubs are designed for JMOs to explore different career options and aim to provide guidance on how to apply to a chosen field of medicine

Includes guidance on education activities, research, mentorship, observerships and how to access PDL opportunities, especially in critical care.

Advanced Life Support training is offered through SCGH at a heavily discounted rate for doctors. The documents linked below provide some information on how to apply for ALS2 at SCGH.

Ultrasound Guided IVC Insertion

Online US guided IVC insertion modules created by SCGH ED physicians James Rippey and Richard Hay, followed by an in-person course (held monthly). Course dates for 2023 TBA.

BASIC Course

The Basic Assessment and Supportive in Intensive Care (BASIC) course covers the fundamental knowledge and skills required for healthcare professionals working in critical care environments that provide intensive care management or advanced resuscitation and pre-transport stabilisation of critically ill and injured adult patients.
