Research Week 2024!
SCGOPHCG Research Week is back for 2024 from the 14th to the 18th of October.
Applications for the Poster Showcase and New Investigator Presentations open on the 4th of June.
SCGOPHCG staff and students are invited to submit an abstract for a research or quality improvement project completed at the SCGOPHCG in 2023 or 2024.

Applications close at 5pm on Friday, 19th of July.
CRMOS Cocktail 2023: Reflections

Drinks start at 7:30pm and go until 11:30pm, with cash bar available all night! Food and welcome cocktail will be provided on arrival

End of Term 1 Drinks 2022
We’ve finally done it - we’ve made it to the end of term 1 and its time for a change of scenery. Charlies RMO Society proudly presents our first end of term drinks - at the Hollywood Subiaco Bowling Club.
Whether you’re sad to be leaving or just can’t wait to get out the door come down for a fun evening with your mates and make some new ones too. Drinks and food on us and the bowling green will be available too.

2021 Mid Year Party
**WELCOME TO THIS YEAR’S MID YEAR PARTY**
As the hospital is overwhelmed by rain this season, it’s time that you too, are flooded......with nostalgia, as we take it back to where it all began.
You heard it here first! We are taking this mid year party back to The Ave!! So don’t worry, the only internal emergency you’ll be having is when the beat takes over.
For many it would have been years, and for others, mere weeks, since coming home (sorry too soon?). Join us and re-discover the establishment, nay, the institution that is The Avenue at Club Bay View.
You've heard of hump day, but this my friends, was hump term, and that extra week seems to just be out of reach!
So to celebrate this milestone, not only will we be renting out the whole venue, we will be putting on a massive bar tab to get things started!
Tickets start at $10 for RMO Society member and $15 for non-members. All are welcome from all aspects of NMHS and beyond! So make sure you get around each other and we will see you there!

The nights are getting longer, Perth is getting colder, and it's the end of another term for us JMOs.
Whether you're sad to be leaving your term, or counting down the seconds till you walk out the doors, come join us for an End of Term celebration not to be missed.
This time we are linking up with the SCGH Clinical Association to put together an even bigger celebration than usual. JMOs and Consultants from across SCGH are welcome to join in for an evening to kick off our RMs and unwind from the hospital.

2021 Medical Careers Virtual Expo- Night 2 Surgical and Paediatric Specialties
The Medical Careers Expo is back and in virtual form for 2021. This year it will be split across two evenings, with the first focusing on medical specialties as well as a panel by GP experts. The second evening will cover surgical specialties and paediatrics.
The LIVE virtual event allows junior doctors and graduating medical students to ask questions in real time and listen to personal journeys to help you make informed career choices. For 2021 we will have medical career planning expert, Dr Ashe Coxon, as our keynote speaker.

End of Term 1 Drinks
Welcome everyone to the first of the most epic 5 part series of your lives….so far….we would like to invite all hospital staff from the North Metro Health Service to the first End Of Term Drinks for 2021.
Whether it be drowning your sorrows after a busy surgical rotation or celebrating an accepted MRI request, this is the night for you!
We will start the night at the Hampden Road Lawn Bowls club where there is food to fill even the chonkiest of bois and gurls and a bar tab to help you feel emotions again.
At 8.30 we will travel en masse via party bus to a location (disclosed on the night) for the tri-hospital kickons.
In the great words of DJ Khaled “you smart, you loyal, another one”. As such, not only will there be another venue, there will be a fresh bar tab. Trust us it’ll help deal with our ‘trauma expert’ and ‘electronic note’ counterparts.

Albatross
Doctors for the Environment, Perth Climate Action Team, The One World Centre and Blueback Freediving and Yoga are proud to present a free screening of the film 'Albatross' as a fundraiser for WA Seabird and Rescue.
Shot on a remote island in the Pacific Ocean, this touching film shows the life of one of the worlds most remarkable birds and the impacts of ocean plastic.
The film will be introduced by WA Seabird Rescue and donation will be taken for tea or coffee served at the event.
There will, also be a stall where you can buy environmentally friendly products and a place to leave comments for Premier Mark McGowan to urge him to follow the lead of Queensland and South Australia in banning single use plastics.
Brad Pettitt, the Mayor of Fremantle, will attend and candidates from all political parties will be invited to attend
